Horses dress for Halloween at Grand Valley Pony Club fun show.
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo The Grand Valley Pony Club held their annual Halloween fun show on Sunday. Horses and their riders dressed in costumes to be judged at
the Mesa County Fairgrounds.
Costumes included little red riding hood and a horse version of the big bad wolf, a fisherman and his lobster, and a headless horseman.
The all-day event included barrel racing, jumps, and other multiple obstacles, and entrance fees from the multiple competitions went towards funding the pony
club through 2016.
"So it’s a day for kids to come up and parents to come out enjoy the day together with their horses, and it’s a fund raiser for our grand valley pony club"
said, Kim Hass, with the Grand Valley Pony Club.
The Grand Valley Pony Club has been a staple part of our areas horse lover community since the turn of the millennium.
The club competes in dressage, jumping, and eventing.
